1. Who we are
The data controller for AscendTogether is ADERP DEVELOPMENT SOFTWARE SRL, registered in Romania (CIF 43663198, Trade Register no. J22/382/2021). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account & purchase data: name, email, billing details and the courses you buy.
- Payment data: processed directly by Stripe, we do not see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and functional.
3. Why we use it
We use your data to deliver the courses you bought, process payments, send you transactional emails (receipts, course access, schedule changes), respond to support requests, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. With your consent we may also send marketing emails; you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data based on: (a) performance of a contract when you buy or use a course; (b) legal obligation for invoicing and tax records; (c) consent for marketing communications; and (d) our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and improving it.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers needed to run the business, including: Stripe (payments), our email and hosting providers, and our accountant for legal record-keeping. We do not sell your data. Where providers are outside the EU, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account and course-access data while your account is active. Invoicing and accounting records are kept for the period required by Romanian law (currently 10 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information safe.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or on the website before they take effect.
